We know that the most important part of our job is to provide information. Patients need information about how to access abortion (laws, restrictions, clinic locations, funding options). Pregnant people who want to birth need help finding resources – both governmental and material. Those who want to avoid pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections need to be aware of where to easily get emergency contraception, condoms, lubricants, STI tests and general sex-ed knowledge that schools fail to offer. And everyone inside and outside of the state should have access to the latest news about reproductive rights and social justice stories happening at the state legislature and other spaces around Alabama.
Now, you can find it all in one place. We are so very proud of our new website, which we hope will be not only a first stop for resources for those who need reproductive assistance, but also for those who want to get involved as volunteers, donors, supporters, or just want to feel more informed. We recognize the vast and frankly sometimes daunting responsibility we have been graced with, and hope to use this site to further our mission to ensure no one in Alabama needs – needs an abortion they can’t access, needs help supporting a pregnancy, or needs to search for accurate sex-ed materials that aren’t full of biases and shame.
