No One Should Need
The Yellowhammer Fund is a 501(c)3 abortion fund and reproductive justice organization serving Alabama and the Deep South. We envision a society in which reproductive decisions are made free from coercion, shame, or state interference, a society in which individuals and communities have autonomy in making healthy choices regarding their bodies and their futures. We commit ourselves to community education and empowerment, policy advocacy, and the development of systems of mutual aid to ensure that our friends, families, and neighbors never go without the things they need.

All abortion clinics in Alabama must comply with the state’s mandatory 48 hour waiting period. This means that two in person appointments are necessary to comply with state laws & regulations. You must have a valid state or government issued picture ID at your first appointment pursuant to Alabama state law.
Minors seeking abortion care must have parental consent of at least one parent before obtaining abortion care in Alabama. All minors must present the following on their first appointment at the clinic: a certified birth certificate (regardless of the state of birth, no photocopies are allowed), a picture ID or other form of valid state/government ID for the patient, and a picture ID or other form of valid state/government ID for the parent who is giving the minor permission for abortion care. We will never have equality without economic stability. Pregnancy and childbirth will always disproportionately impact marginalized communities regardless of whether a person chooses childbirth or an abortion. We need your help to lessen that burden one client at a time.
